Atturra Boosts HR Efficiency With SAP SuccessFactors

At the recent SAP NOW ANZ event, which took place on the 6th August 2024 in Sydney, Atturra told the story of their SAP SuccessFactors success to attendees.

The Australian advisory and IT solutions provider shared how they were experiencing a significant increase in HR administration workload due to rapid team growth.

At the time, the company was relying on fragmented and manually tracked spreadsheets and documents, an inefficiency which resulted in HR process delays and reduced data quality. Ultimately, the company felt this was hindering growth opportunities for both employees and the business.

To address these challenges, in October 2022, Atturra teamed up with Discovery Consulting to overhaul its HR system by implementing SAP SuccessFactors. The move aimed to increase the accuracy of HR data, improve onboarding and learning processes, and reduce staff turnover.

“As a company that prides itself on helping clients embrace the tools of the future, we saw how relying on better technology would support our growth and deliver a first-class experience to our people,” Atturra Chief Operating Officer David Dekker said, speaking at the recent SAP NOW ANZ event.

The phased rollout, which saw the delivery of SAP SuccessFactors modules for Employee Central, Onboarding, Learning, Performance & Goals and Recruiting; took a year to complete. This gave staff time to establish a change management framework and manage the cultural transition. This approach also enabled greater insight into Atturra’s people data before the implementation of tailored performance and learning objectives.

“Implementing SAP SuccessFactors has streamlined our onboarding process, allowing new team members to settle in and start learning and contributing faster,” Dekker said.

“In the second phase we added further functionalities with the Performance & Goals, Learning and Recruiting modules. This has been a game changer in promoting a culture of continuous development, boosting employee engagement and supporting our goals for sustainable growth and innovation.”

As a result of the overhaul, Atturra now has an automated onboarding HR process and employees have access to self-service tools, as well as improved access to learning resources and compliance training.

Atturra also reported a 78% uplift in accuracy of high-quality employee and organisational HR data; a 49% decrease in the average time managers spend on administrative HR-related tasks; and a staff turnover reduction of 15%.

“The implementation of SAP SuccessFactors enabled Atturra to drive change in its employee lifecycle management system, underpinned by strong project governance and the continued support and communication from leadership,” Discovery Consulting Group’s Managing Partner Alistair Elliot said.

“The willingness to not only adopt new systems but also support organisational change to achieve benefits across the organisation and for their people is a testament to the team at Atturra.”

Looking ahead, Atturra says that it plans to improve workflows and automations to further enhance employee engagement, particularly in remote work teams. The company also plans to use the platform’s analytics tools to identify retention risks.
