Squadron Energy Recognised for ERP Transformation at SAP Best Tech Awards
Squadron Energy has been recognised in the ERP Fast Growth category at the SAP Best Tech Awards 2025, following the completion of a four-month implementation of SAP Public Cloud ERP. The project established a technology platform designed to support operational scalability and future growth.
The deployment enables Squadron Energy, a wholly Australian-owned renewable energy company, to manage increasing transaction volumes, streamline processes, and reduce manual workloads. The system integrates finance, procurement, and analytics functions within a single cloud environment.
“Our new technology platform, featuring SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Concur and Blackline Account Reconciliation, has delivered tangible benefits that supports our mission to accelerate and lead the renewable energy transition,” said Tuan Tran, Senior Manager Enterprise IT, Squadron Energy. “Highlights include reducing month-end reconciliation time by 70% and removing reliance on Procurement teams by empowering staff to raise and approve purchase orders independently via self-service functionality.”

The implementation was delivered by Deloitte using its SAP Qualified Partner Packaged Solution. Squadron Energy plans to continue working with SAP and partners to introduce advanced capabilities, including AI-driven automation and next-generation workflows, to extend the platform’s functionality across the organisation.
