Acquisition, New Leadership Set To Bolster FAIR Consulting Group’s SAP Services

L-R: Pete Andrew, Mehrab Ebadi

Key strategic moves are set to bolster the SAP capabilities of Sydney-based professional services firm FAIR Consulting Group, after it announced a major acquisition and welcomed a new business leader.

FAIR announced it has acquired fellow Australian SAP consultant Brightwater Technology and will add Brightwater’s core competencies including SAP Basis, S/4HANA and Application Managed Support (AMS) to its own suite of full-service SAP IT offerings, including ERP, BTP and S/4HANA solutions, customer experience (CX) solutions, and migration and integration accelerators.

The 2012-founded consultancy is an SAP Gold Partner and positions itself as a “boutique” alternative to larger consultancies, based on founder Mehrab Ebadi’s philosophy of “putting the trust back into consulting”.

The key acquisition comes as Ebadi hands the reins over to new Managing Director Pete Andrew, fresh from almost 20 years with SAP ANZ, most recently in senior roles including Head of Industries (2022-2024) and Chief Operating Officer (2017-2022).

Andrew said he was humbled to be offered the opportunity to lead FAIR Consulting Group. “The alignment of the company’s values with my own – honesty, integrity and leading by example – is very important to me,” he said.

“The opportunity for FAIR in the ANZ market is unlimited. A consulting partner that truly values its people and customers is going to be very successful. Trust in our customer engagements is critical for long-term success.”

FAIR Consulting Group describes itself as being “focused on end-to-end digital transformation solutions and cloud solutions through a lens of value creation”.

Ebadi said the addition of Brightwater’s team, customers and expertise, along with Andrew’s “exceptional leadership”, marked a milestone moment for FAIR, which now has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Karachi (Pakistan), and almost 100 staff.

“There is a clear demand for local boutique partners who can offer tailored engagements and deliver big, complex transformations,” he said. “Partnering with FAIR means trust, quality and support for the local Australian economy and young professionals.”
